Joining in
Who can join?
Anyone the organiser invites. Each person gets an email with their own link, or the organiser copies the links into the team chat. Each card says how many people it works for, from 2 to 10, the recipient included if they're in it.
Does everyone need an account?
No. Only the organiser has an account. Everyone else joins from their link, adds a selfie, picks a character and leaves a message.
What if someone doesn't join?
We remind them 3 days and 1 day before the deadline. Anyone who hasn't chosen their likeness by the deadline is taken out of the card, with their photo, and the picture closes up around everyone else.
Can I add someone myself?
Yes. From your card page you can add anyone's photo, character and message for them, unless they've added their own photo. You confirm they agreed.
Seeing it and paying
Can I see the card before I pay?
Yes. Once the card is built you see the front and every message, and you can ask for another version. You pay only when you're happy with it.
When do I pay?
Once the card is built and you've seen it. One payment covers the whole group, in pounds or euros with VAT included. A card you don't pay for costs nothing.
Does the price change if fewer people join?
The price follows the number of people in the finished card: 2–5 or 6–10.
Can I get a refund?
Your card is printed to order from the version you approved, so it can't be refunded once paid unless it arrives damaged or faulty. Then we reprint it or refund it; our refund policy has the details.
Delivery and the e-card
Where do you deliver?
Anywhere in the UK and EU, included in the price. Post it straight to the recipient, or to another address such as the office.
How long does delivery take?
Joining closes at least a week before the e-card date, to leave time to print and post the card. Pay as soon as you approve it: we print it within a few days and post it.
When does the e-card arrive?
On the date you chose, at 9am UK time. We email it to the recipient if you gave us their email, and everyone in the card gets a link to see the finished card.
Photos and privacy
Who sees my photo?
Until the card is delivered, only you see your photo and the versions we paint; the organiser sees the one you chose. Once the e-card is sent, everyone in the card and the recipient sees the finished card.
How do I delete my photo?
Your selfie is deleted as soon as you choose your likeness. The painted versions are deleted 30 days after the e-card is sent. To go sooner, ask the organiser to take you out before the card is built, or email hello@grouparti.com.
Do you train AI on our photos?
No. We use your photo only to paint you into this card, and never to train AI models.
